Who we are.
High Ground Clinic is an Australian telehealth clinic. A registered nurse takes your history properly, then a doctor makes the clinical decision in an unhurried consultation. This page sets out who runs it, how it is regulated, and how you can check.
The company.
High Ground Clinic is operated by High Ground Healthcare Pty Ltd, ABN 14 695 476 861, with its registered office at Level 19, 10 Eagle Street, Brisbane, Queensland 4000. You can confirm the company and its ABN on the Australian Business Register.
We do not own or operate a pharmacy, and we have no commercial relationship with any dispensing partner. If a prescription is written, you choose where it is dispensed.
The people who see you.
Every nurse and doctor here is registered with Ahpra, the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, which registers health practitioners nationally. Our nurses are registered nurses. Our doctors are registered medical practitioners who prescribe under Therapeutic Goods Administration pathways.
You can ask for the name and registration details of your treating practitioner at any time, and check them yourself on the Ahpra register.
How a consultation works.
A short intake online, then a nurse call of 15 to 20 minutes where your full history is taken. If a doctor consultation is the right next step, it runs 15 to 20 minutes too, and the doctor has read the nurse's notes before you meet. Decisions are made during the consultation and the reasoning is written down for you. We do not prescribe by text or by form. The consultation fee is set out on the pricing section of the homepage.
Where we come from.
Many of us were on the patient and carer side of this story long before we built the clinic. Regulated access in Australia took years of work by patients, carers, doctors, nurses and advocates. We built this clinic to honour that work, and we are glad of the regulation that makes it possible.
What we do not do.
We do not advertise any specific medicine, product, brand or therapeutic indication. We do not promise an outcome before a consultation has happened. Whether any treatment is appropriate is a clinical decision made by the practitioner, for you, on the day.
